This course covers the basic awareness of the hazards associated with the use of electricity. Learner objectives for this course are to: understand the basics of electrical safety, electrical concepts, hazards and controls, voltage testing procedures, effects on the human body, PPE and best practices.
This course will give the student a basic understanding of:

- Basic Electrical Safety
- Basic Electrical Concepts
- Electrical Hazards
- Induction
- Step and Touch Potential
- Effects of Electricity on the Human Body
- Controls – Including Limit of Approach
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Best Practices – Including Job Planning, Safety Programs, and Equipment Maintenance
Once you pass your course you can print your certificate. This is valid for 36 months (3 years).
You may still require additional workplace specific training by your employer.
You must receive a minimum of 75% on your final quiz in order to pass your course. There is no time limit. You have 2 attempts at your quiz. Your final score will be printed on your certificate.
